FTSE Russell recently announced the results of the FTSE Annual Country Classification Review for 2017, where Poland has been placed amongst the top 25 economies of the world. The new ranking reclassifies Poland from an advanced emerging market to a developed one.
FTSE Russell formally reviews country classifications within its FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS) each September using its independent and transparent methodology. This annual review incorporates ongoing country classification research and feedback from the independent FTSE Russell external advisory committees to designate markets as Developed, Advanced Emerging, Secondary Emerging or Frontier.
The above decision confirms that Poland is currently one of the best places in the world to invest in. Recently Poland has also received recognition from the World Bank, which announced that Poland moved from mid-income to high-income status in record time.
