On February 12th 2016 the Championship Round of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, Polish National Rounds took place in the Supreme Court of Poland. Six teams from the best Polish universities fought for two days in order to advance to the finals. The ones who showed the greatest mastery over the case at hand were the University of Warsaw and Jagiellonian University. However, there could only be one winner. University of Warsaw triumphed over their opponent and won the round, thus advancing to the International Rounds which will be held in Washington D.C. in April.
It doesn’t mean that all is lost for the runner-up team. Their excellent performance ensured that they will also have a chance to go to D.C – as an exhibition team, where they will participate in 4 preliminary rounds. On behalf of the National Administrator Adrian Andrychowski (Woźniak Legal) and the whole Jessup Poland team, we would like to congratulate all of the participants of the Polish National Rounds and especially – the winners. Best of luck in D.C.!
